Kindness Advent Calendar: December 16, 2025 (Day 16)

🤍Give Yourself Grace🤍

Welcome to Day 16 of your Kindness Advent Calendar! Throughout December, we will be providing you with your daily act of kindness through our Kindness Advent Calendar! Come and celebrate the holiday season as we are kind all December long.

The holiday season often brings pressure to do more, be more, and hold everything together perfectly. Expectations can pile up quickly, and it is easy to be hard on yourself when things feel overwhelming. Today is a reminder to pause and give yourself grace.

Giving yourself grace means recognizing that you are human. You are allowed to feel tired, stressed, emotional, or unsure. You are allowed to set boundaries, change plans, and take breaks. Grace does not mean giving up. It means treating yourself with the same patience and compassion you would offer to someone you love.

This time of year can evoke a range of emotions. Joy, grief, excitement, and exhaustion can coexist simultaneously. Giving yourself grace allows those feelings to coexist without judgment. It invites understanding instead of criticism and care instead of pressure.

Practicing self-grace can be simple. Take a deep breath. Let go of unrealistic expectations. Remind yourself that doing your best is enough, even when your best looks different from day to day. Small acts of rest and self-kindness can make a meaningful difference.

Today, be gentle with yourself. Speak kindly to your own heart. Give yourself permission to move at your own pace. When you offer yourself grace, you create space for healing, balance, and peace.

Let today be a reminder that you deserve the same kindness you give to others.

"Having a gentle spirit, a kind spirit, a compassionate spirit toward oneself and others really does make space for the growth and the teachability that keeps us moving into the direction that we want to go. It's not always easy to hold that kind of compassion and kindness for oneself, but to me that's often where the work is."
