Carry Peace and Exude Patience

Thanksgiving week is finally here! Welcome back to our 1st Annual Random Acts Of Thanks & Giving Week! We'll be giving you different Thanks and Giving themed Today's Kindness every day this week to usher in the holiday season!

The holidays are a hectic, stressful time. And despite the best intentions of expressing gratitude on Thanksgiving, many people give into greed and selfishness.

That's why we see people wrestling over the last can of pumpkin puree, experience sheer chaos when someone tries to take 13 items through an express less lane, and hear obscene remarks towards one another in stores.

One of the best ways to change the atmosphere around you this Thanksgiving is to carry peace and exude patience toward the people around you. Trade places with the frantic woman behind you in line. Happily give over the last of the sweet potatoes to the older gentleman. Hold doors for people. Say please and thank you. It's basic, but you'll be surprised by how many people are taken aback by your kindness.

"Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity."

~ Thich Nhat Hanh
